Last night a rather relaxing and enjoyable stroll with my wife, on a glorious sunny evening. On Church Lane, just by the entrance to Wheeler Avenue, we came across some sheet music, written by hand. How interesting – what a great start to a story. The music was labelled. It was Mussorgsky’s “Great Gate of Kiev”. Were I able to properly read sheet music, I might have discerned this out on the lane. As it was, I found out later to my pleasure and surprise that this was a favourite of mine.
